From Natsumi - Tokyo
Hello :-) I'm a Japanese girl aged 16. Tomorrow is "Setsubun" in Japan. (Feb. 3) Setsubun literally means the day of the change of season. In the evening of this day, we scatter parched soy beans inside and outside our houses. In the past, people believed that by scarttering the beans they could drive away misfortune.

Hi Brian :-)
I'm a 15-year-old girl from Vaasa, Finland. Vaasa is a small city on the west coast and we're known for our UNESCO world heritage (which is the coast). :-) on the card you can see the basic cliche things that are usually connected to Finland, sorry! :-) I hope you still like it! If you look at the first line of pic, that what it looks like now!

From Guleaeva - Chishinev (Moldova)
My native city is Chishinev. It is the capital of Moldova. On this card is shown the district Buiucani. In the left top corner is general sight of the district and the Parliament, where are deputies and our president Vladimir Voronin. In right top - a National Museum of Archeology and History. in the left bottom sports club "Coduanca." In the right bottom is a Cathedral" Nasterea Domnubei" ("The Birth of God"). This church is situated in a small park, where there are many people always, which have a rest there. An I often go for a walk there, becaause west of this park is my university. I hope my card, which has a little shown you my small city, was pleasant for you.

From Katrin - Leipzig, Germany
Hi Brian, I've been to all continents except Antarctica and I'm not yet 30! But I stopped travelling at the moment and enjoy the time with my daughter (16 months). But when she is raised up, we will travel again. Meanwhile, I enjoy writing postcards. I discover the world by receiving postcards. Greetings from Leipzig!

From Sveta - St. Petersburg (Russia)
Hi Brian! I live in St. Petersburg, one of the most beautiful cities of Russia. The bronze horseman is a symbol of St. Petersburg. It is a monument to Tzar Peter the Great from Catherine the Great. It stands on Senate Square (Decemberists' Square) facing the Neva River and surrounded by the Admiralty, St. Isaak's Cathedral and the Senate and Synod buildings. The statue, created by the famous French sculptor Faconet, depicts Peter the Great as a Roman hero on horseback pointing the wayy for Russia, while his hourse steps on a snake, which represents the enemies of Peter and his reforms. Best regards,
- Sveta
